DALE HOLLINGSWORTH

For over 15 years, Dale has worked with some of the most ambitious arts companies in Australia. He founded ARTANDBUSINESS in order to share his unique understanding of the financial and organisational requirements of arts and not-for-profit organisations. His particular aim is to benefit creative companies that have a positive social agenda.

Dale believes financial management should be straightforward and transparent. He avoids ambiguous terminology and inflexible processes, and instead prioritises clear communication and a collaborative approach.

A diverse career has seen Dale work in a senior management positions for organisations across the arts spectrum. Most recently, he was General Manager and then Director of Corporate Services for renowned multidisciplinary arts centre Carriageworks.

Before working with Carriageworks, he was General Manager for the Australian Centre for Photography, Performance Space, and Object: Australian Centre for Craft and Design. Prior to these roles, he worked as Financial Administrator for Perth’s Barking Gecko Theatre Company, and as Assistant Management Accountant for the British Film Institute.

Dale’s training reflects his parallel interests in financial operations and social progress. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Western Australia, a Bachelor of Psychology from Edith Cowan University, and a Graduate Certificate in Social Impact from the University of New South Wales.
